2011 will certainly be remembered as the year of rebellion in the Arab world. Right now, it's a year of possibilities that we can look forward to with a renewed sense of optimism, thanks to the struggles of the people of Tunisia and Egypt and across the Middle East.
This is really awesome. The only thing is, I strongly disagree with the ISO's platform (I used to work with the Boston chapter a few years ago). I think we should be supporting the labor movements in the Arab World and doing what we can to support full-blown workers' self-management and self-ownership as opposed to a kind of vanguard party. Like one of my favorite socialist thinkers said, "Freedom without socialism is privilege and injustice, socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality."
