2011 will certainly be remembered as the year of rebellion in the Arab world. Right now, it's a year of possibilities that we can look forward to with a renewed sense of optimism, thanks to the struggles of the people of Tunisia and Egypt and across the Middle East.

After years in which its wars have become more and more unpopular, the U.S. political and military establishment finally has a "success" to celebrate.
Well, this is what love of the state does to people. The state uses these kinds of events to legitimize itself in the eyes and minds of the people it rules over, which then leads to people holding this irrational love for it ("nationalism"). People were chanting pro-U$A slogans on my college campus the other day in response, which made me want to throw up.
